The most colorful home organ

As an organist, you know better than anyone that the organ you are playing largely determines how much you enjoy playing. You feel like a different organist when playing a large beautifully crafted instrument as opposed to a small one-manual positive. And in case you are wondering: playing the Symphonica 450 is the former.

The elegant and impressive console gives the feeling of playing a large pipe organ - and perhaps a bit more. When you play the Symphonica 450, you are actually inside the organ. Its curved flanks wrap around you like the console of a large pipe organ.

Elegant terraced console

You recognize that feeling immediately when you see the Symphonica in a room. Its elegant terraced console begs to be admired. You can probably already imagine how it would look in your own living room. But you don’t have to imagine;

take your place on the finely-crafted bench and you will immediately notice how unique your position in front of the organ actually is. The distance between the terraces to the left and right is large, and in truth a bit overpowering.

Comes with a view

Let your gaze wander over the terraces. The disposition offers you an excellent overview. The voices are grouped per manual and are located at an equal height with the manuals, which makes it easier to select quick and effective registration.

That the 32-foot Bombarde applies to the Pedal is as obvious from your position as that the Positive Sifflute belongs to the lowest manual.

Four organ styles

Once you’ve taken your position, you can select a powerful registration. Try registering a tutti for your overture using almost all of the 55 voices on the three manual divisions and pedal. Select one of the four organ style options - Romantic, Baroque, Historic or Symphonic.

After all, what better way to bring out the best in the Toccata to Widor’s fifth symphony than by using the French-Symphonic style?

Enjoy the dance

Once you hear the sound, you will understand the kinship the Symphonica shares with the pipe organ even better. The Symphonica answers your touch with such a powerful and yet romantic timbre that you could be forgiven for thinking that you were in a French basilica.

A bit later, as you strike up Bach’s Fugue in G-minor using a German Baroque disposition, you are suddenly transported inside Bonn Cathedral. It is indescribable, how responsive the instrument is as it dances to your touch.

True-to-life sound

No matter which style you play, or which registration you use, the Symphonica 450 bathes you in the richness of its sound. Its multiple amplifiers and speakers give the organ an unparalleled tonal quality. The subwoofer, sitting inside its separate chamber in the organ, gives a life-like quality to the Resultant Bass 32’.

The tweeters under the music rack add intimacy and presence. It truly sounds like you are playing a fine pipe organ.

Changing scenes

Not only does the Symphonica allow you to switch from a Romantic style to a Baroque, or from a Historic to a Symphonic style without difficulty, it offers more than that. With this instrument, you have access to the authentic acoustic environments of no less than 12 well-known European performance spaces.

Thanks to our LIVEreverb technology, we bring churches, cathedrals and concert halls straight into your living room. You as the organist decide where you would like to play today.

Hear the reverb from every seat

What’s more, thanks to our integrated Adaptive Ambiance™, you can even choose your own seat. Would you like the intimacy of hearing the organ from the bench?

Or would you prefer to sit in the back pew, enjoying the interplay of the room and the organ? With a press of the button you decide where to listen, while you play.

The most colorful home organ

This organ is named Symphonica for a reason. It is without doubt the most colorful home organ that Johannus has ever built. Now you can imagine how it would fit into your own home.

A beautiful decorative piece, lovely to see and to hear, projecting the sounds of an entire symphony into the furthest corners of your room - the Symphonica 450 is made for your home.
