This festival hymn indeed speaks for itself, and requires very little augmentation to enhance its joyous nature.

If the organist follows the score throughout, the entire hymn can be used as a free accompaniment. It will, though, require a middle verse (perhaps using 8’ 4’ 2’ foundations as a contrast).

I can vividly recall my early days at Riverside Church in New York, and I owe Frederick Swann many thanks for his inspiration as I marvel at that experience even to this day.
