Musical contribution - D. Hart - May 2011

bladmuziek met potlood

Those who are familiar with hymn settings by Richard Purvis, Seth Bingham and Carl McKinley will see their influence in this setting. I have endeavored to utilize those sounds which are typical of the so-called “American Classic” organ – strings at all pitch levels (16’ 8’ and 4’), solo reed stops (such as the Clarinet 8’) and other registrational qualities. The arrangement is dedicated to my dear friend, Van Howard, head of Florida Organ Works.
