The Nationaal Jeugdorkest toured in January 2026 with the impressive production The Planets – Symphonic Cinema — a large-scale project in which music and specially created film images merged into one immersive experience.
For this winter tour, Johannus provided the concert organ, performed by Daniel Cardiel Manso. Under the baton of conductor Antony Hermus, works by Richard Strauss and Gustav Holst were brought to life, with the organ fulfilling a powerful and colourful role within the orchestra.
Beyond supplying the instrument, our team was present at every concert to ensure optimal voicing and balance in each venue. Careful adjustment to the acoustics and orchestral setting enabled the organ to perform at its full potential every evening.
With four concert evenings on January 20, 22, 23 and 24, we look back on a successful collaboration and a remarkable musical experience. Once again, this project demonstrates that a Johannus organ integrates convincingly within large-scale symphonic productions — flexible, reliable and entirely at the service of the music.
