One of the beloved post-Easter hymns, Crown Him with many Crowns requires a sense of vigor and strength. The opening fanfare may be played on a solo reed (ideally) or, if such a reed stop is not available, the Swell reed chorus may be used instead.
In reviewing the score, it is readily apparent that the best use of this arrangement is that of a free accompaniment for choir and congregation. Notice the organ “descant” on the final verse.
