Recently our Spanish dealer Andante Órganos installed this beautiful three-manual Ecclesia D-450 church organ in the prestigious Cathedral of María Inmaculada of Vitoria.
The Cathedral of María Inmaculada de Vitoria, usually known as "The new Cathedral" is a Neogothic-style, Roman Catholic cathedral located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque country, Spain. It was built in the first half of the 20th century.
The building, of imposing proportions, has 5 longitudinal naves, main and four side, a cruise of three naves, an apse aisle with two naves with seven apsidal chapels, a porch, a crypt and a sacristy. With 118 meters apse portico, its 62 meters wide between the two end walls of the transept and 35 meters high on the cruise, is the second largest church in Spain after the Cathedral of Seville.
The Ecclesia D-450 has three manuals, 54 stops, 68 ranks and a 12.2 audio system. Thanks to this revolutionary, state-of-the-art audio system, the organist has the feeling of being surrounded by authentic pipes.
Johannus has designed and developed the Ecclesia series to serve exclusively as church organs. In terms of both sound and construction, the Ecclesia concept has solid foundations. In principle, both design and sound are fixed, but in consultation, a custom facade can be created in line with the style and interior of the church.
